In 1989, Steve was recognized as the OUAA’s Rookie of the Year and for four consecutive seasons from 1989 to 1992 earned OUAA All-Star status. This former team captain led the Hockey Gryphons to the OUAA West Division title in 1992, was selected as the team’s MVP, a CIAU All-Canadian and the University of Guelph’s Male Athlete of the Year.
