Ron Bogart – Football (1955-1959)

A member of the 1955 and 1958 OQAA Championship teams Ron was an exceptional 2-way athlete. Not only was he a devastative offensive halfback who ran over defenders on his way to the goal line, on defense he was the teams safety who stopped opposing team members from scoring on the Gryphons. In 1958, Ron won the league scoring title and led the Gryphons to victory in the Presidents’ Cup. During his career at Guelph, Bogart was honourded with numerous accolades, was co-captain of the Football team in 1959 and a member of the Athletics’ Council in 1957 and 1958.

Ron Graduated from the University of Guelph in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture.
