992 Men’s Golf Graham Card, Trevor Hunter, Mark MacDonald, Jeff O’Connor, Trevor Scott and Bruce Wilson. Coaching staff Doug Percival and Joe Contini.

Under the direction of Coach Doug Percival, our Gryphons had a perfect record in league play winning each tournament they entered, and doing so in dramatic fashion.

In the Waterloo invitational the Gryphons won by a single stroke thanks to Trevor Scott’s sinking of a 10 foot putt on the 18th hole. During the Queen’s invitational Graham Card lead the team to another victory as he took home the individual gold medal with a late charge, making an eagle and 3 birdies over his last five holes. While Captain Mark MacDonald was top golfer at the Trent Invitational at Lakeridge Links and the University of Guelph Invitational, with a win in an exciting first hole sudden death playoff held at the Cutten Club. Leading the team to 2 more team wins.

Their undefeated campaign was capped with the team claiming the OUAA Provincial Championship title by FIVE shots at Craigowan Golf Course, in Woodstock over their closest competitors, the Windsor Lancers. Captain Mark MacDonald won the OUAA silver medal with a 2 day even par total of 142.

Individually the Gryphons were honoured with 5 provincial all-stars that year in Captain Mark MacDonald, Jeff O’Connor, Graham Card, Trevor Scott and Trevor Hunter.
