Burt's contributions to Gryphon Athletics span a half of a century - as an athlete and Wildman Trophy Winner, he brought honour to Guelph Athletics. As a President at the University of Guelph, his strong leadership ensured the Athletics Facilities Development Program would succeed. The Twin Pad Arenas, West Gym, Squash Courts, renovations and pool construction is permanent witness to his foresight and leadership.
