This tall spare figure with vigorous gestures and humorous glance arrived on campus in 1920 and immediately started campaigning for a program of “Athletics for All”. He became involved in the Soccer program and by 1924 his teams were winning consistently in the University of Toronto Interfaculty League. In 1930, the team was admitted to the Senior Intercollegiate League and won the championship in the first year. His greatest victories were in 1932 and 1933 when his team won the Senior Intercollegiate in successive years.”
