Also known as “The Big Red Machine”, won back-to-back championships in the Ontario Intercollegiate Football Conference. Under coach Tom Mooney, the 1959 team posted one of the best seasons in the history of the OAC Redmen, allowing only 19 points in seven league games, with four shutouts. The year ended with the Redmen making their first appearance in the Atlantic Bowl, where they were defeated by St. Francis Xavier.
