VICTORIA, BC – The Guelph Gryphons were represented at the 2023 U SPORTS Swimming Championships by a total of seven student-athletes, as the best collegiate swimmers from across the country made their way to the University of Victoria in Victoria, B.C. for a three-day national championship event (Feb. 23-25). The UBC Thunderbirds captured their sixth-straight U SPORTS championship title on the men's side while the Toronto Varsity Blues successfully defended their title on the women's side to capture the team titles at the 2023 U SPORTS Swimming Championships, Feb. 25, at Saanich Commonwealth Place.

Gryphon swimmers qualified for 'B' finals on seven different occasions, with the top results from the weekend coming from Ali Bertrim and
Abigail McDonald, both of whom just narrowly missed out on finishing Top 10 in the country. Bertrim place 13th overall in the women's 100m butterfly, while McDonald placed 13th overall in the women's 200m butterfly.
