The Gryphons women's basketball team will open their postseason campaign on Wednesday night (Feb. 18) as the No. 5-seed in the OUA when they host OUA West divisional foe, Waterloo Warriors. Guelph dropped to the No. 5-seed after falling in their final regular season to the York Lions as they finished with a 16-6 record. The Gryphons and Carleton Ravens finished with the same record (16-6), but the Ravens earned the opening round bye thanks to owning the head-to-head tiebreaker versus the Gryphons thanks to their win in Guelph in October, earning Carleton the No. 4-seed. But first up for the Gryphs, a playoff matchup with the Waterloo Warriors, with whom Guelph won both their head-to-head matchups with during the regular season. Guelph is led by fourth-year guard
Hannah Bourdon who finished the regular season averaging 16.7 points-per-game (7th in OUA), 8.4 rebounds-per-game, and was 5th in the conference with 65 assists and 2nd in steals with 74.
