BURLINGTON, Ont. – For the fourth time during the 2025-26 season, a University of Guelph student-athlete has been named 'OUA Athlete of the Week.'
Hannah Bourdon of the Guelph Gryphons women's basketball team has earned conference-wide honours alongside Keon Baker (Ontario Tech men's basketball) and Zack Stringer (Brock men's hockey) as 'OUA Athletes of the Week' for the week of November 17 to 23, 2025. Bourdon, a sport and event management major at the U of G, posted career-high's in points (30), rebounds (17) and made three's (7) in her team's win over the Brock Badgers on Saturday (Nov. 22).

Hannah Bourdon has earned this week's 'OUA Athlete of the Week' honours following her career-best performance in the Gryphons 85-77 victory over the Brock Badgers on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 22). The Fort Erie native opened her week against the McMaster Marauders on Wednesday night (Nov. 19) where she finished the game with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals as she helping her side to a 73-65 home win. Bourdon would build off that performance on Saturday afternoon against the Badgers. Sitting on 14 points after three quarters, the sport and event management major would take over in the fourth quarter. Bourdon closed out the game on a heater, scoring 16 points in the final quarter, going a perfect 4-for-4 from behind the arc and grabbed 6 boards as she sparked the Gryphons in their 85-77 win. She outscored the Badgers 16-14 in the fourth quarter alone as she put a bow on her career-high 30-point game in the win. Bourdon hit a career-high seven three-pointers in the game, finishing 7-of-11 from three and 10-of-20 from the field. She also led the way on with a career-high 17 rebounds, while also picking up a game-high 4 steals to go with 4 assists. The pair of wins over the weekend extended the Gryphon win streak to five games as they improve to 8-2 on the season as the current leaders in the OUA West division. Bourdon and the rest of the women's basketball team will close out the first half of the season with a pair of road games in Waterloo when they take on the Laurier Golden Hawks on Wednesday (Nov. 26) and the Waterloo Warriors on Friday (Nov. 28).
