GUELPH, Ont. - On Wednesday, July 5, 2023, Ontario University Athletics (OUA) released the 2023-24 women's hockey schedule. The Guelph Gryphons women's hockey team will kick off their 2023-24 campaign on Saturday, October 14, 2023 when they head to Windsor to take on the Lancers before dropping the puck for the first time at home on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 7:30pm as they take on the defending OUA champion Toronto Varsity Blues. A total of 12 universities across the province will compete over the course of a 28-game regular season schedule to earn a spot in the OUA playoffs and, ultimately, a right to lift the McCaw Cup. 

Guelph Gryphons 2023-24 Women's Hockey Schedule

Last season, the Gryphons finished the regular season with an 18-4-5 record earning them the 2nd seed in the OUA West Division. The Gryphons fell just short in their OUA semifinal series versus the eventual OUA champion Toronto Varsity Blues, with the best-of-three series requiring all three games to determine a winner. This season, the Gryphons will reset their sights on another run at an OUA title, looking to capture their 12th conference championship in program history, with the most recent OUA title coming in the 2018-19 season. Should the Gryphons earn a spot in this season's McCaw Cup, the team would then also earn a spot at nationals in March, with the 2024 U SPORTS Women's Hockey Championships (March 14-17) set to be hosted by the Saskatchewan Huskies in Saskatoon.
