TORONTO, Ont. - On Monday, November 17, 2025, the U SPORTS office released its latest national rankings for the 2025-26 season. The Guelph Gryphons women's hockey team is the lone U of G varsity program in this week's rankings, climbing one spot to No. 3 in the latest national rankings. The Gryphons were at home for their final two home games before the winter break where they suffered a tough overtime loss to the Windsor Lancers on Friday night (Nov. 14) before bouncing back with a shutout victory the following night (Nov. 15) against the Carleton Ravens. Guelph were unable to solve Windsor goalie Ella Willoughby as she made 32 saves in her team's 2-1 overtime win.
Myriam Parnell scored the lone Guelph goal that allowed the Gryphs to earn a point despite the loss. The Gryphons bounced back the following night against the Carleton Ravens, getting an early goal from
Myriam Parnell and a pair of goals from
Deija Houston en route to their 4-0 win as
Sophie Helfenstein made 16 saves for her 4th shutout of the season. The No. 3-ranked Gryphons (10-1-1) will travel to Ottawa for a pair of games this weekend when they take on the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Friday night (Nov. 21) before heading to the Ice House to take on the Carleton Ravens on Saturday (Nov. 22).
