Box Score Guelph, ON – Sunday afternoon at the Gryphon Soccer Complex the Gryphons Women's Soccer team was shutout by the York Lions 2-0. With the loss, the Gryphons fall to 6-5-0 on the season while the Lions improve to 10-0-2 (wins-losses-draws).

st minute on a goal from Sarah Wong, and were able to extend their lead to 2-0 in the 63
rd minute on a goal from Nour Ghoneim. The Gryphons are far from the first team to struggle to find the back of the net versus York this season; the Lions have kept clean sheets in four of their last five matches, and have allowed just four goals in 12 matches this season.
The Gryphons will look to get back to winning ways on Friday (Oct. 9) when they travel to Windsor to face the Lancers. Guelph beat Windosor 1-0 earlier this year in what was the season opener for both squads back on Aug. 29.
