The Guelph Gryphon women's soccer team advanced to 2-0 on the season on Wednesday night with a 1-0 victory over the UOIT Ridgebacks in Oshawa.

Fourth year striker Erica Bain (Niagara Falls, Ont.) scored the lone goal and her second of the season two minutes into the contest to put the Gryphons on top. The rest of the contest went scoreless as Gryphon second year goalie Alexandra King earned her second straight shutout of the season stopping six shots on net. 
 
The Gryphons now host the York Lions on Saturday (Sept. 7) at 1:00 p.m. at the Gryphon Soccer Complex.
