Q: What is your background off the mat? Where are you from, tell us about your family.

A: Born and raised in Guelph.  Mother and father are both principles in Guelph. Younger brother who plays rugby at the UofG and little sister about to be in highschool.

Q: How did you get into wrestling?

A: My Dad was at a very high level of wrestling and introduced me at a young age. From a young age I grew a deep passion for it.

Q: What about wrestling makes you love the sport?

A: Wrestlers all share the same struggle of how hard the sport is on you mentally and physically. This creates great friendships and culture in the room that is like no other which is a part of why I love it. I also love the challenge and grind this sport takes to become successful.

Q: What are some of your greatest achievements and memories on the mat as a student-athlete?

A: Some of my greatest achievements in the sport so far are two ofsaa gold medals, national bronze and silver, and OUA silver. Some of the best memories are training with teammates.

Q: Why did you choose the University of Guelph?

A: The University of Guelph has always been my home. For as long as I can remember I have trained there. The coaches are the best in the country and have known me my whole life there wasn't any option but Guelph.

Q: Who had the greatest influence on your athletic career?

A: My coach Zoltan Hunyady. He's been my coach for as far back as I can remember, never misses a practice, has always been dedicated to helping my skills as an athlete. He's stood by my side in every major match, supporting me and helping me improve.

Q: If you could try another sport, what would it be and why?
A: Another sport I did growing up to help my wrestling was gymnastics. Was a competitive gymnast for years and would do it if I wasn't a wrestler.

Q: What can fans expect when they see you on the mat at the U SPORTS Championships?

A: Fans can expect me to see me wrestle every match to the  best of my abilities.
