CAMBRIDGE, Ont. – A total of 16 universities from across the province were represented at the 2025 OUA Men's Curling Championships, with the three-day conference championship event taking place at the Galt Country Club in Cambridge, with the University of Guelph serving as the official host institution. The Gryphons men's curling team, made up of
Evan MacDougall (skip),
Dylan Stockton (vice),
Fionn Keon (second),
Brayden Chumbley (lead) and alternates
Kayden Beauchamp and
Joseph Pascucci, fell just short of reaching the knockout stages on Sunday's third and final day of action.

The Gryphons posted a 1-3 record during pool play on Friday (Feb. 7) and Saturday (Feb. 8), with Guelph dropping an 11-7 decision in their opening game against the eventual OUA bronze medalist Brock Badgers. On Friday night, the Gryphons were on the wrong end of a hard-fought 6-4 game against the Laurentian Voyageurs. That put Guelph in a must-win situation on Saturday morning against Ontario Tech Ridgebacks. After Ontario Tech jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the 1st end, the Gryphons battled back to take a 4-3 lead, before ultimately falling just short to fall to 0-3. The team ended on a positive note with a 10-4 victory over the Algoma Thunderbirds on Saturday evening, but it was not enough to see Guelph through to the OUA quarterfinals.
The 2025 OUA title would be claimed by the Carleton Ravens, marking the second time in their program's history they have been crowned OUA men's curling champions, and first time since 2019. The Carleton Ravens defeated the four-time defending OUA champion, Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks, in the gold medal draw of the 2025 OUA Men's Curling Championships. Both the Ravens and Golden Hawks book a spot at nationals, with the 2025 U SPORTS Curling Championships set to take place in Lethbridge, Alberta February 24-28. In the OUA bronze medal game, the Brock Badgers claimed the OUA's final berth into nationals, with Brock defeating the Waterloo Warriors 5-3 to earn a trip to Alberta in late February.
