TORONTO, Ont. – Four student-athletes from the University of Guelph Gryphons football program have earned an invite to take part in the Canadian Football League's (CFL) 2025 Combines. On Thursday, January 30, 2025, the Canadian Football League (CFL) unveiled the rosters of the top university football players from across the country who have been invited to take part in the CFL's 2025 Combines.
Two Gryphon football players have earned a spot at the national combine, with
Vyshonne Janusas (receiver) and
Daniel Hocevar (offensive line) all set to head to Regina, Saskatchewan (March 21-23) for the 2025 CFL Combine. Two additional Gryphon football players, offensive linemen
Ethan Pyle and
Thomas Bourikas, earned invites to the CFL Invitational Combine on February 28 at the University of Waterloo. The top players identified during the Invitational Combine at the University of Waterloo on February 28 will earn their way to the main event in Regina in March. The 2025 CFL Draft is slated for Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
