Shayne Campbell – OUA West Coach of the Year
For the third time as the leader of the Guelph Gryphons women's soccer program, head coach
Shayne Campbell has been named OUA West Coach of the Year. In his 8th season in charge of the U of G women's soccer team, Campbell led his team to an 8-3-1 regular season record and a 2nd-place finish in the OUA West. The Gryphons under Campbell would defeate McMaster in the playoffs to advance to OUA semifinals before seeing their 2024 season on penalties in a hard fought battle against the two-time defending OUA champion, Ottawa Gee-Gees. Campbell has previously won the OUA Coach of the Year award in 2018 and 2021, and is the fourth Gryphon coach in program history to do so. Campbell led the Gryphs to their first OUA Championship in program history back in 2017 during his first season in charge.
In addition to Campbell's coach of the year honours, defenders
Elise Bell &
Jasmine Burke and forwards
Olivia Rizakos &
Christina Gomes were named OUA West All-Stars.
Gryphon forward
Olivia Rizakos earned OUA First Team All-Star status for the second time in her Gryphon career, after also doing so back in 2021. Rizakos led the Gryphs with six assists (tied 2nd in OUA) to go along with her 3 goals scored, starting in all 14 games for the team.

Joining Rizakos as an OUA First Team All-Star is second-year defender,
Elise Bell. For Bell, it marks the first time she has been named an all-star after an exceptional 2024 sophomore season. The biomedical science major started all 14 games as part of the defence that conceded 13 goals on the year. Bell was also a key component of the Gryphon attack, regularly making runs into the opposition's territory from her fullback position.
Jasmine Burke and
Christina Gomes both earned OUA All-Star status for the 2024 season, marking the third time in their Gryphon careers they have been recognized at the conference level. Burke, a fourth-year defender on the team and a mainstay from her centre back position, once again established herself as one of the top defenders in the conference. Burke not only helped lead the way defensively for the Gryphons, but also managed to find the back of the net scoring her first goal as a Gryphon this season.
Christina Gomes, who a season ago was named OUA West Most Valuable Player, once again impressed during the 2024 season, helping lead the way up from for the Gryphon attack. The fourth-year winger from Bradford, Ontario was instrumental in the team's attack that scored the fourth-most goals (35) in the conference, scoring 3 goals herself and assisting on 4 more solidifying her as one of the premier forwards in the conference.
