HAMILTON, ON - The Gryphons women's lacrosse team lost 12-4 on Sunday morning in the 5th place game at the 2016 OUA Championship Tournament. The Gryphons finish 6th in the 10-team tournament after posting a 2-2 schedule. Rookie
Susanna Coss scored twice against the Gaels while
Taylor Kidd and
Charly Guatto rounded out the scoring for the Gryphons.
After opening the tournament with a win over York, the Gryphons lost their second game to the eventual OUA champion Trent Excalibur. A win over Toronto put the Gryphons in the 5th place game before falling short versus Queen's on Sunday.
It marks the end of an impressive 2016 season for the Gryphons who fielded one of the youngest squads in the league yet drastically improved upon their 2015 results.
