St. Catherine's, Ont. – Sunday afternoon in St. Catherine's, the Gryphon women's hockey team won 4-0 over the Brock Badgers.  With the win, the Gryphons improve to 10-2-2, while Brock falls to 1-10-3.
 
Gryphon captain Kaitlyn Mora (Guelph, ON) scored 43 seconds apart in the first period, her fifth and sixth goals of the season, to give Guelph an early 2-0 lead.   Rookie winger Kaitlin Lowy (Toronto, ON) assisted on both of Mora's goals, and would find the back of the net herself in the second period to extend the Gryphon lead to 3-0.  Kelly Gribbons (Port Elgin, ON) scored Guelph's fourth goal of the game early in the third period, and that was more than enough offence for Gryphon goalie Stephanie Nehring (Oshawa, ON) who made 18 saves and recorded her third shutout of the season.
 
Next up for the Gryphon women's hockey team, a big game Thursday night (Jan. 15) at home against the University of Toronto Varsity Blues (10-3-2) who sit just behind the Gryphons in the OUA standings.
