WVB: Gryphons lose in straight sets versus No. 4 ranked U of T

Box Score
Toronto, Ont. – Saturday night the Gryphon women's volleyball team lost in straight sets to the undefeated University of Toronto.  Set scores were 21-25, 13-25, 16-25.  With the loss, the Gryphons fall to 6-5, while the Varsity Blues improve to 11-0.

Travelling to Toronto to take on the No. 4 ranked team in the country was always going to be a difficult task and it proved to be just that.  The Gryphons, who have now lost three straight after a five-game win streak, had just 18 kills on the night compared to 38 from U of T.

The Gryphon women's volleyball team will be in action again on Friday night (Jan. 16) when they travel to St. Catherine's for a crucial game against Brock (5-7) who sit right behind Guelph in the OUA's West Division standings.  The Gryphons beat Brock three sets to one in their matchup earlier this season.
