Toronto, Ont. - The Gryphon women's hockey team suffered their first regulation loss of the season on Saturday (Nov. 1) afternoon in Toronto as they fell 5-1 to the York Lions.  Fifth year forward Kaitlyn Mora (Guelph, Ont.) scored the Gryphons only goal on the day.  After trailing 2-0 after the opening period, the Gryphons would fall further behind in the second period.  York was able to extend their lead to 4-0 with two goals less than a minute apart to put the Lions in control.  The Gryphons actually outshot the Lions on the day 20-19, but that was not reflected in the scoreboard as York would go on to win 5-1 the final.  The Gryphons are in action again on Saturday (Nov. 8) against rival Queens.
