The Guelph Gryphon men's hockey team defeated the Laurier Golden Hawks 2-1 tonight in Game Three of the best-2-of-3 semifinal series to move on to the OUA West Finals.  The Gryphons now advance to the OUA West Finals against the Western Mustangs.

 

Gryphon goal scorers were Kris Belan and Edward Gale.  Goaltender Andrew Loverock turned aside 28 of 29 shots for the win. The Golden Hawks outshot the Gryphons 33-29. 

 

The Gryphons will now play the Western Mustangs in a best-2of-3 series for the OUA West title.  The Mustangs will have home-ice advantage in the series.  Stay tuned to gryphons.ca for the most up-to-date playoff schedule information.
