The first set started with RMC getting out to an early lead and holding it the whole way in winning 25-22. Set two was highlighted by an eight point serving run by Kaitlyn Krizmanich (Carlisle, Ont.) which allowed Guelph to even the match with a 25-9 win. The third set was very similar to the first with RMC establishing an early lead and carrying it through to the finish winning 25-22. The Gryphons again used strong serving to build a lead in set four winning 25-14. The fifth set saw RMC lead 8-4 at the change over and Guelph was never able to narrow the gap to less than two points as RMC took the set and the match with a 15-12 win.

"I give RMC credit for playing well when they needed to. I thought that when we extended the match to the fifth set that we would pull it out, but as a group we were not very composed," said head coach Paul Funk. "As good as we were in the fifth the previous night, we were equally poor in the fifth tonight."

Guelph's efforts were led by Megan Canavan's 21 digs. The Gryphons next action is Friday Nov. 25 when they travel to Windsor to take on the Lancers.
