Ross ended his Gryphon career in style by capturing two gold medals at the CIS Championships and completing his year undefeated against CIS competition. His 3000 metre run was the second best time ever recorded at the CIS Championships, missing the CIS record by 0.01. In the 1500 metre, his time ranked 7th fastest all-time. Not only was Proudfoot instrumental in leading the Gryphon men to a silver medal in the overall team competition, he was also named the recipient of the George Gemer Award given to the Most Outstanding Athlete of the Meet.
