Stephanie Nehring – The All-Star goalie for the Gryphon women’s hockey team was in fine form this past week, allowing only one goal in just over 120 minutes of ice time.  That lone goal came in overtime in the Gryphons 1-0 loss to the Waterloo Warriors on Thursday night.  On Saturday, Nehring (Oshawa, Ont.) was brilliant once again in a huge 4-0 win for the Gryphons over the defending OUA champion Laurier Golden Hawks.  In that game, Nehring turned away all 19 shots sent her way, as the Gryphons were able to shutout the seventh ranked team in the country.  Nehring currently leads the OUA in both save percentage (.965) and goals against average (0.92).
