GUELPH, Ont. - On Friday night (Sept. 12, 2025) at the Gryphon Soccer Complex, the No. 10-ranked Gryphons women's soccer team earned a 1-0 win over the visiting Brock Badgers. The match-winning goal for the Gryphons came in the 15th minute of play courtesy OUA All-Star centre back, Katie Kimens (Maple, ON). The fourth-year bio-medical science major was able to head home her first of the season off of a corner, giving the Gryphons all they would need offensively on the night. Brock's best chance at an equalizer came late in the first half, but Gryphons third-year goalkeeper Sabrina Spano stood tall to deny the chance en route to her third clean sheet of the season. The Gryphons have yet to concede a goal through their first five games of the 2025 season. With the win on Friday night over the Brock Badgers, the No. 10-ranked Gryphons improve to 4-0-1 (wins-losses-draws) on the season and sit atop the OUA West Division standings. With the loss, the Badgers fall to 2-1-2.

Up next for the Gryphons, a Sunday afternoon home matchup with McMaster (0-2-1). The Marauders are set to visit the Gryphon Soccer Complex on Sunday, Sept. 14 with kickoff at 1pm.
