On Friday night (Nov. 7) from the University of Windsor's Toldo Lancer Centre, the Gryphons and Lancers met in the first of two head-to-head meetings this season. A tightly-contested matchup between the two OUA West Division rivals would ultimately go the host's way, as the Lancers were able to pull away down the stretch to come away with the 65-59 win over Guelph. Gryphons fourth-year guard,
Hannah Bourdon, gave Guelph the 59-58 lead with 3:39 left in the 4th quarter, but it would prove to be the Gryphons final points of the game, as the Lancers would close out the game scoring the final 7 points, with the Windsor defence limiting the Gryphons to 7 points in the final quarter.
Christina Morra led the way for the Gryphons, with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.
