Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025 | Gryphons Extend Win Streak to Three with Road Win in Toronto
On Saturday night, the Gryphons returned to the court at the Goldring Centre in Toronto when they took the Toronto Varsity Blues. With the Gryphons trailing 24-20, the game would turn in Guelph's favour as they'd go on a 9-0 run in the final two minutes of the first half to lead by five at the break as a three from
Hannah Bourdon and a layup from
Larissa Ruggiero to beat the buzzer helped sparked the offence in the second half. Guelph would never relinquish the lead from that point forward as they were able to come up with the key shot including a three from second year guard
Larissa Ruggiero to close out the third quarter to extend the lead to four as it would be the closest the Blues would get in the team's 69-60 win. Free throw shooting was a key in the victory for the Gryphs, making 24 out of 31 from the line, led by 14 makes from the charity stripe from
Christina Morra. Three Guelph players finished in double-digits led by Morra's 18 points,
Hannah Bourdon's 16 points and
Macy Weber's 12 points.
The Gryphons (6-2) are back at home for a pair of home games for the final time before the winter break when they host the McMaster Marauders on Wednesday night (Nov. 19) and the Brock Badgers on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 22).
