GUELPH, Ont. - Thursday night (Oct. 23, 2025) in front of a soldout crowd of 1,200 at the University of Guelph's Gryphon Centre Arena, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues skated to a 5-2 victory over the Guelph Gryphons on third annual edition of the Gryphons "Lang Business Cup" night. The Gryphons, wearing their alternate jerseys in support of the University of Guelph's Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, got off to a fast start with 1st period goals from
Julien Gervais and
Dylan Hudon. But five unanswered goals from the visiting Varsity Blues (three in the 2nd period, two in the 3rd period) would give U of T the road win. With the result, the Gryphons fall to 2-3-1 (wins-losses-OTL/SOL) while Toronto improves to 3-3-1. The Gryphons will return to action on Friday night (Oct. 24) with a 7pm puck drop in Waterloo against the undefeated Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks (6-0-0).
