BURLINGTON, Ont. – On Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 22), Ontario University Athletics (OUA) announced the All-Stars and major award winners for the 2025 women's rugby season, with a total of eight Gryphons women's rugby players receiving conference-wide recognition as OUA All-Stars.

Abby Auger has been named an OUA All-Star for the second consecutive season, her first on the First Team. Her teammates
Milla Sayavongsa, Maddy Minnis and
Imogen Barnard were also named OUA First Team All-Stars for the first time in their Gryphon careers. Sayavongsa, the sport and event management major, scored a team-high 75 points on the season, scoring 7 tries and making 20 converts. Maddy Minnis had an outstanding season at centre, scoring 6 tries.
Imogen Barnard rounds out the OUA First Team All-Star selections from the second row. Four Gryphons are featured on the OUA Second Team which includes last season's OUA MVP, Addy Holmes. The Waterloo native featured in her team's final four games of the regular season where she recorded 8 tries as this marks her second All-Star team nod. For the fourth time in her Gryphon career,
Taylor McKnight has been named an All-Star. The bio-medical science major represented Canada at the recent Women's Rugby World Cup where she came home with a silver medal. The Stouffville, ON native appeared in her team's final regular season and scored a pair of tries in the win.
Meg Rogers and
Halle Woodcock round out the team's Second Team All-Star selections, playing a key role in helping the Gryphons to a 5-1 record in 2025. The Gryphs are a win away from winning back-to-back OUA championships and their 19th banner in program history as they head to Nixon Field in Kingston this Friday (Oct. 24) to take on the Queen's Gaels. The match can be seen live online at www.oua.tv with game time set for 7pm.
