Gryphon Lacrosse head coach and Alumni Advancement Manager shaves head to raise money for United Way

The Department of Athletics is proud to announce that it raised over $900 for the University of Guelph, United Way campaign during a special fundraising event held this week. The highlight of the event was a bold show of support from men's lacrosse head coach and Alumni Advancement Manager Sam Kosakowski who graciously shaved off his hair and beard to help inspire donations.

The head and beard shaving took place on Monday (Nov. 18) at the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre and included guest speakers from the United Way and attendees from both Athletics and Alumni Affairs and Development, as well as members from the Gryphon Lacrosse team and Kosakowski family members. The event showcased the department's commitment to the U of G campaign. Thank you to all those who attended the event to support the United Way's mission. Special thanks to Domino's Guelph who donated the pizza lunch.
