Four Gryphons have earned the title of OUA Second Team All-Stars in 2023, with
Donavin Milloy and
Mitchel Schechinger being recognized on the offensive side of the ball. Sophomore running back
Donavin Milloy earns his first All-Star nod of his young career after leading the Gryphons on the ground throughout the 2023 season. The 5-foot-10 Hamilton native established himself as one of the best backs in the nation, ranking within the top 10 in the country in several key statistical categories. including yards per carry (2nd in U SPORTS, 8.9), yards per game (3rd in U SPORTS, 130.5), total rushing yards (3rd in U SPORTS, 1,044), and carries (4th in U SPORTS, 117). The arts major experienced one of the best seasons running the ball in Gryphon program history, with his 1,044 yards on the ground being the second-most in a single season. Milloy's season was highlighted by a 189-yard, 2 touchdown performance against the York Lions in Week 5 of the OUA season. Sarnia native and Gryphon offensive guard
Mitchel Schechinger was one reason for Milloy's success this past season,

anchoring the Gryphon offensive line and making both Milloy and quarterback
Tristan Aboud's lives easier. The 6-foot-3 second-year mechanical engineering major allowed for the Gryphon offence to produce 3,286 yards of total offence, the 4th most in the conference, while also having the second-most productive running game, going for 1,835 total yards on the ground.
On the defensive side of the ball the Gryphon defensive line was led by fourth-year defensive tackle,
Josh Campbell. Campbell, a psychology major from Montreal, was a force on the the Gryphon defensive line, finding his way into opposing backfields for a team-hight 5 tackles-for-a-loss and 1.5 sacks. The 6-foot-2 interior rusher ranked 12th in the conference in tackles-for-loss. Campbell's impressive season started with an exceptional performance against the Toronto Varsity Blues where he tallied 2.5 tackles-for-a-loss and 0.5 a sack in a game where the Gryphons held the Varsity Blues to just 190 yards of total offence.
Lined up behind Campbell in the Gryphons secondary was fellow 2023 OUA Second Team All-Star,
Devynn Cromwell. Cromwell is recognized as an All-Star after another season of demonstrating why he is one of the top defensive backs in the country. The 6-foot-1 Toronto native collected 21.5 tackles, 5 pass break-ups, and one interception to help him earn All-Star status for the second time in his collegiate career. He adds this year-s All-Star performance to an already impressive resume that also includes a 2021 U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian nod.
