TORONTO, Ont. – Saturday evening at the University of Toronto, the Guelph Gryphons women's hockey team picked up a 3-1 road win over the Toronto Varsity Blues.
Miranda Lantz broke a 1-1 tie in the 3rd period to give the Gryphons the lead, with rookie
Lauren Ianni sealing the victory with an empty net goal in the final seconds.
Valerie Lamenta turned away 19 of the 20 shots sent her way for the win, snapping a mini two-game losing streak for the Gryphons, who now sit just three points back of first-place in the OUA standings.
