PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - The Guelph Gryphons women's lacrosse team extended their season another game thanks to a 4-2 win over the Brock Badgers on Saturday at the OUA Championships in Peterborough.
"We're really proud of the team for coming back like this after a tough loss yesterday," said Gryphons head coach Staci Morris. "Finishing the first half down 1-0, the ladies stepped up and played amazing together. They were composed and took complete control of the game."
Second-year midfielder
Teagan Raney (Toronto, ON) scored twice, while
Kristine Webber and
Jessica Perry also recorded goals for the Gryphons.
With Saturday's 4-2 win, the Gryphons were able to complete a season-sweep versus Brock, following two head-to-head wins during the regular season.
Guelph will now officially wrap up the 2018 campaign on Sunday (Oct. 21) with a consolation final matchup against Western. Game time is set for 10:45am.
