OSHAWA, ON - Saturday night in Oshawa, the Gryphons men's hockey team suffered a 3-1 loss to the No. 5-ranked UOIT Ridgebacks. With the result, the Gryphons fall to 5-7-0 while the Ridgebacks improve to 10-2-0.
Saturday night's contest got off to a promising start for the Gryphons with
Manny Gialedakis opening the scoring 5:45 into the opening period. UOIT would respond with two goals just a minute apart in the 2nd and added one more in the 3rd to improve to 7-0 on home ice this season. The Gryphons outshot the Ridgebacks 45-29 on the night, including a 15-6 margin in the 3rd period.
The Gryphons will wrap up their four-game road trip with a pair of games in Thunder Bay next weekend (Nov. 18 & 19) against the Lakehead Thunderwolves.
