Guelph, ON - The Gryphons Women's Rugby team set an OUA record with 140 points on Saturday afternoon in a blowout win over the Brock Badgers in what was an OUA Quarter-final matchup. The Gryphons led 83-0 at the half before going on to the 140-5 win. Bronwyn McCrone gained some valuable experience at a new position as she took on the role of 8man. Gryphons team captain Devon Stober picked up three tries on the day, while the Gryphons were also able to showcase the team's tremendous depth by utilizing several of their substitutes throughout the game. OUA leading scorer Alex King deferred kicking duties to Kendra Blackbourne who impressed throughout. Despite the lopsided score, both teams showed class and good sportsmanship throughout the match. Afterwards, the Gryphon Alumni Game took place with a great turnout helping further strengthen the team culture for the squad.
  With the win over Brock, the Gryphons advance to the OUA Semi-finals where they will face a familiar opponent in the Queen's Gaels. Guelph won their previous meeting with Queen's 48-7 when the two teams met on October 9.
