Gryphons win big in opening game at OUA Championship

Oshawa, Ont. (Oct. 31, 2014) - The Gryphons started their road to OUA gold strong with a final score of 18-1 against the York Lions. Guelph's objective during the game was keeping their mental game strong and playing to their level against the weaker Lion team. Transition passing and assisted goals were numerous. Congratulations to Olivia Kaminski on her first goal of the season and ending the game with a hat trick, and to defenseman Jamie Rodriguez for her first goal with the Gryphons. Special mention to Laurel McGillis for being honored with Player of the Game by the York coaching team. The Gryphons move on to play the Toronto Varsity Blues Friday evening.
