Box Score Windsor, Ont. - Guelph men's volleyball team had an absolutely massive win Friday night over Windsor. With three starters out with the flu the men's volleyball team took on a very tough Windsor team. With a season high 10 stuff blocks and 14 block assists the Gryphons played with heart, grit and determination. First year players Kendrick Kerr (Georgetown, Ont.) stepped in for ailing Marc Wilson (Stratford, Ont.) and did an outstanding job collecting 4 kills, 3 digs, 4 stuff blocks and 5 block assists. Still not 100% from a severe ankle injury, Austin MacIntyre (Chicago, IL) stepped in for an ailing Zach Newman (Kitchener, Ont.) and collected 3 digs, 2 aces and 1 critical stuff block.
Back up libero Kaj Wigston (Guelph, Ont.) stepped in the 4th set and stopped Windsors 6'8 outside hitter with a huge stuff block. Along with his 2 blocks Kaj collected 4 digs. It was an all round team effort and the Gryphons will look to carry the momentum into Saturday night's match vs Western.
