In a rematch of last years OUA championship final the Guelph Gryphon women's rugby team defeated the Western Mustants 84-0 on Saturday afternoon at Varsity Field in Guelph.

The Gryphons advance to an undefeated 3-0 record on the season and have outscored their opposition 174-0 in three games. 
 

The Gryphons came out strong against a young Western team to score in the first three minutes of the game by Mimi Rahneva (Ottawa). Western was kept on their hind foot for most of the game as Guelph attacked at every position. Western had no answer for the speed that the Gryphons displayed. 
 

Tries were scored by Morganne Linthwaite (Gueph, Ont.), Steph DeVries (2) (Arris, Ont.), Jacey Murphy (3) (Alliston, Ont.), Britt Benn (3) (Napanee, Ont.), Jane Kirby (Brampton, Ont.), Mimi Rahneva, Brittany Sammut (2) (Port Coborne, Ont.) and Miranda Smith (Caledon, Ont,). Britt Benn slotted in seven converts.
