JACEY MURPHY, WOMENS RUGBY

Murphy, a fourth-year agriculture student from Alliston, Ont. scored three tries on Saturday as the Guelph Gryphons began the 2010 OUA women’s rugby season with a 25-0 win over the Waterloo Warriors. After taking the lead 5-0 in a tight first half, the back row player tallied a natural hat trick of tries in the second half to seal the win. The defending OUA champion Gryphons host their home opener this weekend against the Trent Excalibur on Saturday, September 18 at 1:00 p.m.
