Daria Keane, a fifth year co-captain of the Gryphons Women’s Rugby team, is this week’s Gryphon Athlete of the Week after dominating in attack on Friday against Brock. The Sarnia native scored three tries in the opening half against the Badgers and controlled the back of the scrum very well all match long. She showed great speed off the scrum and powered her way over the line as Brock’s defence tried to push Guelph back. After a convincing win over Brock in their season opener, Keane and the Gryphons will look to improve to 2-0 on Saturday, September 19 when they host the defending CIS Bronze medalist Western Mustangs.
