Fifth-year left side Patrick Strzalkowski (St. Catharines, Ont.) carried the Gryphon men’s volleyball team in two big road wins this past weekend. With three starters out on Friday night due to the flu, Strzalkowski lifted his team and led all players with 19.5 points (18 kills, 1 ace, 7 digs, 0.5 block) defeating the Windsor Lancers 3-2. Guelph continued their momentum on Saturday defeating the No. 8 Western Mustangs 3-1. The Science major led the team in all categories totaling 15 points (11 kills, 3 aces, 6 digs, 1 block). After the weekend the Gryphons sit 4-1 on the season, good for second in the OUA standings.
