Erin Houle, Field Hockey
Third-year captain, Erin Houle (Burlington, Ont.) scored two goals in leading the Guelph Gryphons to two 3-1 wins this weekend in OUA field hockey action and is our Gryphon female athlete of the week. The centre midfielder was in on all six Gryphons goals in wins over Queens and McMill.
 
Houle scored a goal and two assists in a 3-1 victory over Queens Saturday. Twenty minutes into the second stanza she stick handled her way through four Gaels' players to knot the match at 1-1, set up the game winner and assisted on the insurance marker. 
 
In the second contest of the day against McGill, the Landscape Architecture student ignited the attack from the 50-yard line initiating a succession of passes that put Guelph on the scoreboard two minutes into the play, netted the game winning goal and assisted on the third.
 
The win improves the Gryphons to 4-0 on the season.
