Fourth year catcher Justin Interisano of Guelph, Ont. is this week’s Gryphon male athlete of the week. The 6-foot-2 Science major picked up right where he left off last year when he won OUA player of the year by having an outstanding week leading the Gryphs to a 3-1 start. The Gryphons defeated Western, McMaster and Laurier this week, and dropped a close final to Ryerson. Interisano has already hit 2-home runs to tie the early season lead and has driven in 7-runs including three in the season opener to lead the team to a 5-4 win over Western.  He has also played outstanding defence so far throwing out over 50% of potential base stealers.
