Kelsey Gsell
Kelsey Gsell a third year wrestler from Saskatoon, SK earned an OUA gold at the 2013 Championships this past weekend hosted by Brock. She won the title in the women’s 82 kilogram weight class. En route to the title she went undefeated in pool play with not a single point scored against her defeating K Malcolm from Queens (6-0, 7-0) and Sophie Bolideau from Laurentian (6-0, fall). In the finals she faced off against a very tough opponent in Brock’s Olivia Dibacco and took the gold (2-0, 1-3, 2-0). She was named an OUA all-star. Gsell and her teammates will now spend the next two weeks preparing for the national championships at Western from March 1-2.
