DAN MCCARTHY, MEN’S BASKETBALL
Dan McCarthy of Guelph, Ont. recorded 27 points in leading the Guelph Gryphons mens basketball team to a 94-88 victory over the Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday (Jan. 12) in Waterloo. The fifth-year forward added six rebounds, six assists, two steals and was near perfect 7-for-8 from the free throw line in the win. The Gryphons improved to 4-7 in the West Division.
