CHRIS HEMMERICH, GOLF

First-year golfer Chris Hemmerich of Kitchener, Ont. led the Gryphon men’s team to a second place finish this past weekend at the Waterloo/Laurier Invitational. The rookie shot an impressive two-day score of 146 (74-72) to grab the overall bronze medal. The men’s team finished just three shots behind the Waterloo Warriors who took gold. The event was played at Whistle Bear on the first day followed by the final round at Rebel Creek.
