Shawn has brought a trio of championships to the city of Guelph at both the OHL level (as head coach of the 2004 OHL Champion Guelph Storm) as well as at the OUA level (as head coach of the Queen's Cup champion Gryphons in 2014-15 and 2019-20). During his time with Hockey Canada, Shawn has experience both as an assistant coach and head coach of the U-18 team, including leading Canada to a gold medal at the 2005 World Jr. Cup.
