The 2022-23 season marks Justin's 6th season with the Guelph Gryphons, and 4th season as the team's associate head coach. During Justin’s playing career, the Turkey Point, Ontario native split his University career between the NCAA Division-1 (Mercyhurst Lakers) and the OUA/U SPORTS (Carleton Ravens). After graduating from Carleton University, Justin signed a pro hockey contract and played for the SPHL's Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs. Justin enjoyed a five-year junior playing career with the GOJHL's Brantford Golden Eagles, the OJHL's Hamilton Red Wings and Burlington Cougars, the USHL's Youngstown Phantoms, and the CCHL's Pembroke Lumber Kings. In the summer of 2019, Justin was invited to the Los Angeles Kings coaches summit as a guest coach at the team's annual development camp. Justin has a pair of younger brothers, Marc and Michael, both of whom played hockey for the Gryphons and were part of OUA championship teams during their Gryphon careers (Michael with the 2014-15 Queen's Cup-winning Gryphons, Marc with the 2019-20 OUA champion Gryphons).
