University of Guelph Athletics

The 2025-26 season marks Brian Bard's fourth season as head coach of the University of Guelph men's and women's golf teams. Brian has been a PGA of Canada member for 30 years, with a Level 3 Teaching certification, and currently serves as the Head Professional at Guelph Lakes Golf Club. Prior to taking over as head coach of the Gryphon golf program, Brian spent two seasons as an assistant coach with the Gryphons in 2020 and 2021. Other professional stops in his career include five years as an associate professional at Westmount Golf Club. As a player, Brian competed at the collegiate level south of the border at Brevard College in Florida and went on to participate in three PGA of Canada national championships. Brian has a long history of giving back to youth involved in the game of golf, including taking on the role as a Pro Advisor for the Tee It Up Junior Tour from 2015-2019.
